Vershina took part in Euro 2024 in Italy
12th European Hockey Championship (Unofficial) “International Spring Tournament”among the children of 2016, the birth took place last weekend in Bolzano, Italy, in which KDYUSSH “Vershina” took the honorable 4th place among 16 teams from 8 European countries.
“From Kyiv our team left by bus on March 12, - notes mentor Oleksiy Zudin. - And already in the evening we played two games in Novoyavorovsk with “Galetsky Lions, twice beating the hosts with a score of 20:2 and 17:1. We returned to Kyiv yesterday, March 20.”
After a long crossing of the border, they reached Krinitsy-Zdraya, where they have already played with the Poles of 2014-2016 year of birth:
Vershyna — KTH 1:2
Vershyna — KTH 4:9
Vershyna — KTH 5:5
Vershina - KTH 7:10
In Bolzano, Italy, in fact already at the Euro, held three matches in the group:
Top - Landshut (Germany) 3:0
Top — Pustertal (Italy) 6:3
Top - Junior Capitals (Austria) 9:1
As a result, the Vershinovets left the group from the first place and played in Quarterfinals vs Kreuzlingen-Konstanz (Switzerland) with a score of 2:0 in his favor.
In the semifinals with the Swiss team Kloten were forced to concede with a score of 0:1.

The coach of the team Mr. Zudin in an exclusive comment to the press service of the KDYUSSH “Vershina” tells the following:
“Impressive in its scale and organization, the tournament is the loudest event of the year for junior hockey players in the U-8 age group. These were amazing, stressful, exhausting, but just unrealistically cool days! After three undisputed victories in their group over opponents from Germany (Landshut 3:0), Italy (Pusteral 6:3) and Austria (Junior Capitals 9:1), our team came out of the group from the first place and had another victorious match against the Swiss team Kreuzlinngen Konstanz with a score of 2:0. Unfortunately, in the semifinals in an equal fight with the future winners of the tournament, luck was not on our side and the game ended with a score of 0:1 in favor of the Swiss team Kloten. The game for 3rd place with the team from the Czech Republic “Meteor Tremosna” ended in a draw, but “Vershina”, unfortunately, was defeated in a series of bullits.
For two days, our pets competed desperately and persistently, winning every puck, thanks to the incredible support not only of their parents, but also of our Ukrainian community in Bolzano. It was just incredible. “Vershina” once again proved that it is a worthy rival, and devotion to your favorite cause, despite the difficult times and conditions that have developed in our country - gives a result!
